Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer focused on Substation, Relaying, and Generation. You will assist in plans, specs, and inspection reports, and support material lists, contracts, and interconnection designs for Solar, Wind, and Battery projects.

Requirements include a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, 2–5 years of experience, and EIT certification; PE is a plus. You will supervise junior engineers and coordinate with design teams and vendors in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Two to five years of applicable experience is required.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is required.
• Passing the PE exam is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of plans, specifications and inspection reports.
• Assist in preparation of material lists and labor contracts.
• Assist with preparation of Solar/Wind Farm, Battery Storage, substation and utility interconnection designs and construction drawings (AC/DC, low/medium/high voltage).
• Basic administration of material purchases and construction contracts.
• Provide direction to designers and CAD operators on assigned team.
• Interact with customers and vendors as needed.
• Supervise and train division Project Engineers I; assist in training.
• Perform basic MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook tasks.
• Interface well with employees at all levels.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Project Engineer - Substation/Relaying/Generation - URGENT NEED!!

Position requirements include:

• Assist in development of plans, specifications and inspection reports.
• Assist in preparation of material lists and labor contracts.
• Assist with preparation of Solar/Wind Farm, Battery Storage, substation and utility interconnection designs and construction drawings. Including AC/DC, low/medium/high voltage systems.
• Basic administration of material purchases and construction contracts.
• Provide direction to designers, CAD operators on candidate’s assigned team.
• Small degree of customer and vendor interaction.
• Some proficiency in single area of renewables and/or substation engineering such as physical layout design, protection/control/Scada design, relay settings programming, field support, commissioning, relay testing
• Supervises work and assists in training of division Project Engineers I.
• Performs basic functions of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Must interface well with employees at all levels.
• Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
