Job summary

Lockheed Martin Huntsville team seeks a Scrum Master/CAM to drive Agile delivery for the Missile Defense program. Facilitate ceremonies, maintain transparent artifacts, and ensure earned-value, budgeting, and risk reporting align with cost and schedule commitments.

The role requires leadership across cross-functional engineering disciplines, adherence to SAFe/ Scrum practices, and collaboration with senior stakeholders while utilizing Jira, Confluence, and EVM methods.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years as Scrum Master or Agile Coach in a software development environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related technical discipline.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and other Agile project-management tools; familiarity with Earned Value Management software (e.g., Deltek, Primavera).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Scrum events – daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint review, and retrospective.
• Maintain Scrum artifacts – keep the Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, and Increment transparent, current, and aligned with the program’s WBS.
• Establish and assess CAM duties – budgets, earned value, and risk reporting to meet program commitments.
• Lead cost and schedule accountability across multiple CAs and WPs within IMS using Agile data.
• Coach on Agile values and remove impediments while guiding cross-functional teams.

WHAT WE'RE DOING

The Scrum Master/CAM is a hybrid servant‑leader role that drives Agile delivery while providing cost‑and schedule‑accountability for multiple Control Accounts (CAs) and Work Packages (WPs) within the Modeling and Simulation Vistas program. The candidate will facilitate Scrum (and other Agile) practices for a cross‑functional software development team, remove impediments, coach on Agile values, and simultaneously manage earned‑value, budgeting, and risk reporting to ensure the program meets its technical, cost, and schedule commitments.

Agile & Scrum Leadership

• Facilitate Scrum events – daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint review, and retrospective.
• Maintain Scrum artifacts – keep the Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, and Increment transparent, current, and aligned with the program’s Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).

Control Account Management (CAM) Duties

• Establish and assess progress of multiple CAs and WPs against the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) using Agile planning data (e.g., Jira).
• Earned‑value & cost management – develop, monitor, and forecast time‑phased budgets; apply Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques (BCWP, BCWS, ACWP, CPI, SPI) to evaluate performance.
• Risk & opportunity management – identify, log, and communicate technical and financial risks; propose mitigation or exploitation strategies.

Basic Qualifications

• Cost Account Management: Experience in Cost Account Management or Earned Value Management for aerospace/defense programs.
• Agile expertise: Deep knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and ability to tailor Agile practices to large, multi‑disciplinary programs.
• Earned‑value & budgeting: Hands‑on experience applying EVM metrics, developing Basis of Estimates, and managing time‑phased budgets.
• Leadership & facilitation: Strong facilitation, communication, conflict‑resolution, and coaching abilities; proven track record of leading teams through forming, storming, norming, and delivering value.
• Risk & opportunity management: Ability to identify, analyze, and communicate financial and technical risks; develop mitigation plans.
• Program coordination: Experience coordinating across multiple engineering disciplines and interfacing with senior program stakeholders.
• Self‑direction: Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and apply best practices without micromanagement.
• Certifications: SAFe Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
• AI prompting proficiency: Skilled at leveraging AI tools (e.g., large‑language‑model prompting) to enhance Agile planning, reporting, and documentation.
• OSF Experience: Preferred to have experience with the Objective Simulation Framework and/or M&S Tools.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
