Job Description

• Represent the pneumatic team and support vehicle builds at the Volvo Manufacturing plant in Dublin, VA.
• Resolve queries or problems reported by Plant Manufacturing during the build process.
• Coordinate with responsible engineers and seek technical support to resolve issues reported by cross-functional teams.
• Lead and support design activities of the sheet metal bracket.
• Manage CAD module documentation and support line number documentation and correction.
• Release design solutions in PDM - Kola.
• Lead and support PIL resolution in both project and maintenance contexts.
• Manage PCR processes within the project.
• Regularly review progress and status with group manager, technical lead, and module lead.
• Lead XF discussions as required.
• Ensure quality, design, cost, and feature (QDCF) standards are met, driving solutions throughout all implementation stages.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of pneumatic schematics
• Strong expertise in sheet metal bracket design
• Proficiency in GD&T
• Understanding of braking systems and FMVSS 127 standards
• Experience with Volvo tools and processes is an advantage
• Proficiency in CREO, especially in piping, assembly, part, and sheet metal modules
• Knowledge of pneumatic components, fittings, tubes, connectors, valves, installation, and routing
• Experience in vehicle packaging and installation
• Truck environment and product knowledge
• Experience working with suppliers
• Good communication and networking skills
