Job summary

ICES: Data, Discovery, Better Health seeks a Project Engineer to support the Project Manager across planning, drafting, and vendor management for construction-site projects. You will coordinate with field staff, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure schedules, costs, and specifications align through closeout.

The role emphasizes documentation control, progress monitoring, and safety compliance, with split time between office and job sites in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field or equivalent field experience.
• Experience with Procore and Bluebeam preferred; willingness to learn both is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication across teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with planning, scheduling, and organizing projects from initiation through closeout.
• Support drafting and preparation of project plans, layouts, and technical documentation.
• Help develop and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project, tracking milestones and critical path items.
• Assist with vendor and subcontractor selection and management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain project documentation, drawings, submittals, and RFIs within Procore, ensuring accuracy.
• Coordinate with field staff and subcontractors to ensure requirements are understood and met.
• Monitor progress against schedule and budget, flagging risks to the Project Manager.
• Assist with change orders, project documentation, and closeout procedures.
• Conduct site visits to verify progress, quality, and safety compliance.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
