Job summary

Certerra is seeking a Project Engineer P.E. to support operations in Houston, Bridge City, and Corpus Christi, TX. This role emphasizes geotechnical investigations, data analysis, and design calculations.

You will lead field programs, oversee QA, coordinate with civil and construction teams, mentor staff, and contribute to proposals and client presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3+ years of progressive experience.
• Texas Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical investigations, planning field exploration and lab testing.
• Analyze data and prepare engineering reports, recommendations and calculations.
• Design and evaluate foundations, retaining structures, slopes and ground improvements.
• Provide technical oversight and QA for geotechnical projects.
• Review specs, drawings, and reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, environmental, and construction teams.
• Manage budgets, schedules, staffing, and client expectations.
• Conduct site visits and provide construction-phase consultation.
• Mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
• Support proposals, client presentations, and business development.

• Review project specifications, drawings, and reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, environmental, and construction teams throughout projectdevelopment and execution.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, staffing, and client expectations.
• Conduct site visits and provide construction-phase consultation and observation services.
• Mentor and train junior engineers and technical staff.
• Support proposal preparation, client presentations, and business development activities.

Education/Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
• Must have a minimum of 3+ years of progressive experience
• Must have a TX Professional Engineering License or able obtain within 90 days ofhire.
