Job summary

Certerra South, LLC. is seeking a Project Engineer P.E. to support our geotechnical operations in Houston, Bridge City, and Corpus Christi, TX.

You will lead geotechnical investigations, plan field exploration programs, and analyze data to prepare engineering reports and design calculations. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, has 3+ years of progressive experience, and possesses a TX Professional Engineer license or can obtain it within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required; 3+ years progressive experience.
• TX Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical investigations, plan field exploration programs, and analyze data to prepare engineering reports and design calculations.
• Analyze geotechnical data and prepare engineering reports, recommendations, and design calculations.
• Design and evaluate shallow and deep foundations, retaining structures, embankments, slopes, pavements, and ground improvement solutions.
• Provide technical oversight and quality assurance for geotechnical projects.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, environmental, and construction teams throughout project development and execution.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, staffing, and client expectations.
• Conduct site visits and provide construction-phase consultation and observation services.
• Mentor and train junior engineers and technical staff.
• Support proposal preparation, client presentations, and business development activities.
