Job summary

PCL Construction Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer in Orlando, FL to support the Florida Buildings Group. You will maintain contracts with trade partners, supervise subcontract administration, and participate in change management to manage cost and schedule impacts.

You will assist with document control, submittals, and progress claims, coordinating with the project team to ensure scope compliance, safety, quality, and timely closeout.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of construction experience in an operational role preferred.
• Associates or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field.
• Demonstrated understanding of construction equipment, drawings, specs, HSE, quality and building materials.

Responsibilities

• Maintains contract with select trade partners and supervises subcontract administration (scope, inquiries, progress).
• Participates in change management and change order process, including pricing and schedule impact assessments.
• Manages project documents (RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, as-builts) (BLDG and CIVIL).
• Collaborates with project team lead to supervise design with timely submittal responses.
• Reviews trade partner submittals for scope compliance before forwarding to design for review.
• Coordinates with PM and superintendent to report on site health, cost, schedule and quality.
• Prepares and supervises progress claims and estimates.
• Tracks materials and equipment and expedites orders.
• Supports site inspections and reviews AHJ requirements and code compliance.
• Assists with project closeout, archival docs, warranties.
