Job summary

Skanska Integrated Solutions in the United States is seeking a Project Engineer to provide technical, administrative, and field support to project managers. You will assist with RFIs, submittals, and reporting to keep projects on track.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of construction project experience, a bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering, and a collaborative mindset to deliver on commercial building projects with a GC/CM firm.

Qualifications

  • 1+ Years experience contributing to coordination, development, and tracking of project needs (RFIs, submittals, pay apps, document control, reporting).
  • 1+ Years reading construction plans and specs; outline specifications for client submissions and ensure materials/submittals match.
  • 1+ Years experience in commercial building projects with a GC/CM firm.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers and Field Managers with technical, administrative, and field activities.
  • Gather and distribute information to project team and client stakeholders.
  • Maintain coordination across RFIs, submittals, and reporting to keep projects on track.

The Project Engineer provides technical, administrative, and managerial/ field support to Project Managers and Field Managers. The position typically works under direct supervision, performs routine daily activities, and gathers and distributes information. The Project Engineer must be a flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.

Project Engineer Required Qualifications:
  • 1+ Years experience working within a project team contributing to coordination, development, and/or tracking of various project needs such as RFIs, submittals, pay applications, document control, project reporting, cost events, schedule updates and close out activities.
  • 1+ Years experience reading and understanding construction plans and drawings and the technical specifications associated with drawings. Ability to outline specifications required for submission to the client along with ensuring construction materials, equipment, and field installations match the approved submittals.
  • 1+ Years of experience in the construction of Commercial building projects (internship experience may be acceptable) with a general contractor/construction management firm.
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Construction Management, Engineering, or e8 years equivalent industry experience.
