Job summary

Skanska is seeking a dynamic Project Engineer to join our on-site Project Management Team. You will handle contract setup, submittals, bid package support, change orders, and scheduling assistance on diverse projects that build schools, roads, and hospitals.

The role emphasizes collaboration, communication, and client service. New grad qualifications apply: 0–3 years in RFIs, drawings, and closeout, with a bachelor’s in Construction Management or Engineering, or 8 years equivalent experience.

Qualifications

  • 0-3 years creating documentation such as RFIs, and client correspondence on issues related to the notification provisions in contracts.
  • 0-3 years reading and understanding construction plans and drawings and the technical specifications associated with drawings. Able to outline specifications required for submission to clients and ensure submittals and shop drawings are approved.
  • 0-3 years expereince with project close out.
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Construction Management, Engineering, or similar or 8 years of equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • On-site project coordination within the Project Management Team including contract setup, submittals, and bid package support.
  • Assist with change orders and support the scheduling of the project.
  • Maintain strong communication and client service throughout project lifecycle.
  • Outline and ensure submission specifications derived from drawings and contracts are met for client approvals.

The Project Engineer works on-site within the Project Management Team and is responsible for contract setup, submittals, assisting with the bid package process, change orders and assisting with the scheduling of the project. The Project Management Team can vary greatly depending on the size and complexity of the projects, which in turn will affect the number of responsibilities the Project Engineer will be involved in. The Project Engineer must be a flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.

New Grad Project Engineer Required Qualifications:

Salary Low

USD $67,000.00/Yr.

Salary High

USD $91,500.00/Yr.
