Job summary

Hathaway Partners in Elyria, OH is seeking a Project Engineer on its Equipment Division to drive new product development from concept to production. You will work hands-on with prototypes and wiring, and use SolidWorks to create models and drawings.

The role involves design reviews, DFMEAs, testing, and coordination with R&D, Quality, Production and Purchasing to bring reliable equipment to market.

Qualifications

• Design and develop new equipment for construction industry.
• Create 3D models, drawings, schematics in SolidWorks.
• Perform ratings, calculations, FEA as needed.
• Coordinate with R&D and Quality/Production as required.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer new equipment; support and upgrade existing products.
• Create 3D models and drawings in SolidWorks.
• Perform ratings and calculations (FEA) as required.
• Refine project scope and product definition with the manager.
• Develop tests to verify product performance.
• Lead design reviews and DFMEAs/DFMs.
• Prepare deliverables for Stage Gates in development.
• Assist with assembly of new product builds.
• Resolve issues with teams; support QA, Production, and Purchasing.
• Ensure compliance with policies and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
