Job summary

Specialized Fabrication Equipment Group LLC seeks a Product Development Engineer to design and test advanced electromechanical systems for heavy industrial use. You will work with multilevel teams to define requirements, balance cost and quality, and bring new products to market with minimal rework.

Ideal candidates are hands-on, analytical, and capable of troubleshooting, with a strong CAD background and experience in design for manufacturability and risk assessment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or higher; 3–5 years of related engineering experience.
• Proven ability to manage large engineering or product development projects.
• Experience with DFMEA and design for manufacturability is preferred.
• Strong CAD proficiency and familiarity with ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops complex electromechanical systems for heavy industrial applications.
• Translates customer requirements into product specifications and design docs.
• Performs DFMEA and risk assessment to minimize failures.
• Generates engineering drawings using ASME Y14.5 and GD&T.
• Collaborates with cross‑functional teams to optimize cost, quality, and time to market.
• Provides on‑site customer support and training as needed.
