Job summary

Performance Contracting Group is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for its PCI Kansas City 567 mechanical insulation operations based in Lenexa, KS. The role involves labor control, RFIs, takeoffs, scheduling, and QA/QC support on construction projects.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of construction project experience, knowledge of mechanical insulation scopes, and strong communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience supporting or managing construction projects.
• Experience with Mechanical Insulation scopes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask on multiple projects.
• Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance.
• Prepare RFIs and submittals.
• Quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders.
• Create and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremen.
• Create and manage punch lists and job closeout documentation.
• Support the QA/QC measures outlined in the QA/QC program.
• Assist in other duties as assigned.
