Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional construction project experience.
• Experience in the mechanical insulation scope of construction subcontracts.
• Strong ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI scopes of work.
• Proven track record establishing and maintaining vendor relationships.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Proficiency with digital construction takeoff and software.
• Ability to collaborate within a team.
• Experience working with unions is a plus.
• OSHA certification is preferred.
• Local to the Kansas City metro area is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of mechanical insulation projects from pre-construction through closeout.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and project P&L.
• Coordinate with clients, general contractors, field teams, and subcontractors.
• Lead field operations, labor planning, productivity tracking, and supervision.
• Develop and maintain project schedules with milestone tracking.
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks and delays.
• Ensure safety standards and client requirements are met.
• Procure materials and equipment for insulation systems (pipe, duct, vessel).
• Review drawings, specs, and submittals for scope accuracy.
• Oversee change orders, RFIs, and project documentation.
• Coordinate insulation installation with mechanical systems and proper sequencing.
• Build relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams for repeat business.
• Lead project meetings and provide progress and financial reports.
• Mentor project engineers and field staff to support growth.
