Job summary

Simmers Crane Design & Services, part of Flatiron Crane, is seeking a Project Engineer to plan, coordinate, and execute engineering projects from concept through completion. This role combines technical design, project management, and client interaction to deliver high-quality crane solutions.

You will lead detailing, data collection, and collaboration with sales and field teams while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or pursuing a degree.
• Experience with Creo or similar parametric modeling software and FEA tools.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Candidate must be proactive, punctual and reliable.
• Ability to work in an office and occasional field environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Detail systems, layouts, and repair procedures with design specs.
• Coordinate with sales team to propose work and manage projects.
• Direct and supervise subcontractors and technicians.
• Prepare material orders and delivery planning.
• Maintain deadlines and budgets per customer needs.
• Ensure safety policies per OSHA and client requirements.
• Invoicing and project closeout documentation.
