Job summary

Simmers Crane Design & Services, part of Flatiron Crane, seeks a Project Engineer to plan, coordinate, and execute engineering projects from concept to completion. You will contribute to design, project management, and client interaction to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Requirements include a BS in mechanical engineering (or pursuing) and experience with Creo/FEA, strong communication, and reliability. Office work with occasional field duties; competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or pursuing one.
• Preferred knowledge of Creo or other parametric modeling software and FEA software.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering projects from concept through completion.
• Design and detail systems, layouts, and repair procedures.
• Collect data using micrometers, calipers, and measuring tape; analyze data.
• Coordinate with sales to propose work and manage projects end-to-end.
• Direct and supervise subcontractors and technicians to complete projects.
• Prepare material orders and delivery planning.
• Maintain deadlines and budgets per customer requirements.
• Adhere to safety policies and OSHA standards.
• Prepare invoicing and project closeout documentation.
