Job summary

Siemens Mobility seeks a Project Engineer - Electrical, LV Switchgear/LVMCC Engineering in Wendell, NC to drive low‑voltage switchgear solutions from design through manufacturing and commissioning.

You will define electrical layouts, perform calculations, and ensure compliance with standards while collaborating with customers and internal teams. This is a permanent, full‑time role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; advanced degree may substitute for four years.
• 3+ years in electrical power distribution, LV switchgear, LVMCCs, or related systems.
• Experience with electrical and 2D layout tools (EPLAN/AutoCAD/Visio) and MS Office.
• Protection/control schemes, RVSS, VFDs, and intelligent devices exposure.
• Ability to interpret customer docs and meet schedule, cost, quality, profitability.
• Travel ≤10% and US work authorization without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of LV switchgear and LVMCC aligned with specs and standards.
• Analyze specifications, diagrams, datasheets to define scope and deliverables.
• Create schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, layouts, and manufacturing docs.
• Perform fault current, voltage drop, and protection coordination studies.
• Define protection schemes, relay logic, interlocks for LVMCC applications.
• Collaborate across proposal, project management, procurement, manufacturing, and customers.
