Job summary

Siemens Electrification and Automation in Wendell, NC seeks a hybrid Electrical Engineer focusing on MV switchgear. You will translate customer requirements into high-quality engineering designs, analyze specifications, and develop MV switchgear solutions including protection and control systems.

You’ll own technical deliverables as a project engineering lead, create one-line diagrams and bills of material, and support manufacturing and service teams to ensure designs are built and delivered as

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
1–4+ years designing or configuring electrical power distribution systems, with emphasis on MV switchgear.
Experience with electrical drafting tools (AutoCAD Electrical, Engineering Base, ELCAD, or similar).
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Develop complete engineering documentation for customer approval and MV switchgear manufacturing.
Create accurate one-line diagrams, control schematics, and bills of material using Siemens configurator tool.
Own technical deliverables as a project engineering lead, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely execution.
Support manufacturing, service teams, and customers to ensure designs are built and delivered as intended.
Collaborate to resolve technical issues and drive continuous improvement.
