Westphal & Co. is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer for the Globalcom Technologies division in Madison, WI. You will collaborate with seasoned professionals and field staff to move construction projects from concept to reality.

The role is based in our Madison office and supports projects in the surrounding area. You will work closely with estimating and project management teams to ensure successful project delivery while gaining hands-on exposure to BIM, documentation, and site activities.

Responsibilities

• Estimating: support quantity takeoffs, competitive quotes, and cost-saving methods.
• Project management: assist with BIM-based planning, document control, and project startup activities.
• Quality Assurance/Quality Control: help develop and implement QA/QC procedures and project reporting.
• On-site learning: visit job sites, observe tasks, and participate in project meetings.

Our Globalcom Technologies division is a technology contractor specializing in structured cabling, security/CCTV, and cellular enhancement projects. • Estimating Teams: Dive deep into the heart of project planning by supporting our estimating teams. You'll master the art of performing detailed quantity takeoffs, securing competitive quotes, and finding cost-effective construction methods. Your expertise will ensure we not only meet but exceed our project estimates with precision and creativity.
• Elevate Project Management: Be at the forefront of our projects, ensuring smooth starts and successful completions. From working with state-of-the-art project management tools like BIM to organizing vital documents and leading project start-up activities, your role is crucial. You'll assist in managing changes, tracking material deliveries, and ensuring quality every step of the way. Your contributions will directly influence the efficiency and success of our projects.
