Job summary

Westphal & Co. in Madison, WI is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to join our construction and technology teams.

You will collaborate with seasoned professionals and field staff to bring ambitious projects from concept to reality, with base participation at our Madison office and surrounding area. You’ll support estimating teams, engage in project management using BIM, and contribute to QA/QC practices while visiting job sites and attending project meetings.

This position is based out of our Madison office, supporting projects across the surrounding area.

Your Impact:

• Estimating Teams: Dive deep into the heart of project planning by supporting our estimating teams. You’ll master the art of performing detailed quantity takeoffs, securing competitive quotes, and finding cost-effective construction methods. Your expertise will ensure we not only meet but exceed our project estimates with precision and creativity.
• Elevate Project Management: Be at the forefront of our projects, ensuring smooth starts and successful completions. From working with state-of-the-art project management tools like BIM to organizing vital documents and leading project start-up activities, your role is crucial. You’ll assist in managing changes, tracking material deliveries, and ensuring quality every step of the way. Your contributions will directly influence the efficiency and success of our projects.
• Innovate and Implement: Your innovative spirit will be key in developing and implementing Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures that set industry standards. You’ll play a significant role in project reporting, showcasing our achievements and learnings to stakeholders and clients.
