Job summary

Urban Infraconstruction LLC is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Heavy Civil division in Laredo, TX. You will assist with planning and execution of complex construction projects, coordinate with field teams and clients, and help manage schedules, costs, and documentation.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in heavy civil construction, a relevant degree, and strong organizational and communication skills. Travel is expected as needed to support project activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in heavy civil construction or related infrastructure projects.
• Experience with roadway, bridge, utility, excavation, grading, or concrete projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and execution of heavy civil construction projects including roadways, bridges, underground utilities, grading, and concrete structures.
• Support project management teams with scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and cost tracking.
• Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, daily reports, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with field operations, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Track project quantities, production rates, and material deliveries to maintain progress and efficiency.
• Assist in maintaining project schedules and support monthly progress reporting.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality control requirements.
• Support project close-out activities including punch lists, as-builts, and final documentation.
