Job summary

CCL Global is hiring an experienced Project Engineer to support the execution of large-scale TxDOT infrastructure projects in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The role will assist project management teams with underground wet utilities and civil infrastructure scopes.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering and experience in heavy civil projects. A generous compensation and benefits package is offered, including career advancement opportunities and flexible PTO.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred.
  • Experience supporting heavy civil, roadway, underground utility, or TxDOT projects preferred.
  • Knowledge of underground wet utility installation methods is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret civil construction drawings and specifications.

  • Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.

Job description

We are hiring an experienced Project Engineer who will support the successful execution of large-scale TxDOT infrastructure projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area for a heavy civil general contractor. This role will assist project management and field operations teams with underground wet utilities and related civil infrastructure scopes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with the planning, coordination, and execution of TxDOT and private/commercial heavy civil projects.
  • Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, material tracking, and project documentation.
  • Maintain project schedules, budgets, and production tracking reports to help ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, utility owners, and engineers to support project progress and resolve field issues.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and utility plans to ensure compliance with TxDOT standards and project requirements.
  • Assist with quantity takeoffs, cost tracking, forecasting, and pay applications.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Experience supporting heavy civil, roadway, underground utility, or TxDOT projects preferred.
  • Knowledge of underground wet utility installation methods is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret civil construction drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient with MS Office, MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam, and Primavera P6 is preferred.
