Job summary

Ryan Companies US Inc in Phoenix is offering a Project Engineer Intern role for 2027. The internship runs May–August as a summer program, with spring and fall co-ops also available.

You will assist the project team in completing designated projects while learning construction industry processes and Ryan's policies. You will gain hands-on experience in budgets, cost accounting, invoices and change orders, and develop site coordination, scheduling, quality control, and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering/management or closely related field and within 18 months of graduating.
• Able to work 40 hours a week for at least a three‑month term.
• General knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control methods.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
• Able to read and understand contracts, specifications and architectural/engineering drawings.
• Clear oral and written communication.
• Position requires verification of employment to work in the U.S.

Job Overview

Ryan Companies has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Engineer Intern. This position is available in 2027 as a summer internship running from May-August, or a Spring Co‑op running from January-August, or a Fall Co‑op running from May‑December. As a Project Engineer Intern, you will assist the project team in the completion of designated projects while focusing on learning construction industry processes, procedures, and Ryan business policies.
