Job summary

InServ is seeking a Project Engineer to own assigned project scope and drive it to successful completion on technically demanding industrial construction projects in the Southeast. You will review drawings, specifications, and contracts, identify constructability issues, and develop practical solutions in collaboration with project managers, superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in industrial construction or project coordination.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, contracts, schedules, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction project management systems.
• Genuine interest in learning the technical and commercial side of industrial construction.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project requirements.
• Identify technical, design, and constructability issues and develop practical solutions.
• Support project planning, construction methods, and execution strategies.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Prepare material takeoffs, quantity estimates, purchase requisitions, and procurement documentation.
• Manage submittals, shop drawings, technical documentation, and project records.
• Support RFQs, change orders, and back charges.
• Identify quality and performance issues before they escalate.
• Support project turnover and closeout.
