Project Engineer – Land Development
Phoenix, AZ

Shape Communities. Drive Growth. Lead the Future.
Are you a civil engineer with a passion for designing and delivering residential communities from the ground up? Here's your opportunity to step into a Project Engineer role where you’ll guide site development projects from initial concept through construction with one of the most active and established teams in the Phoenix area.

We’re looking for a motivated, detail-driven Project Engineer to help lead the charge on residential land development projects. You’ll collaborate with planners, designers, consultants, and contractors to bring new neighborhoods to life—while also mentoring younger engineers and making your mark on a growing, fast-paced organization.

What You’ll Do
  • Coordinate and lead the technical execution of land development projects across multiple disciplines

  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and internal teams including EITs, CAD Designers, and outside consultants

  • Oversee engineering design and documentation—ensuring all work complies with codes, standards, and agency requirements

  • Serve as the day-to-day liaison with clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies

  • Assist with construction phase services including site visits, submittal reviews, and contractor coordination

  • Interpret regulations and stay current on local, state, and federal development standards

  • Deliver quality work while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and ethical business conduct

  • Travel occasionally for site visits and project meetings

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university

  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Arizona—or ability to obtain licensure

  • 5+ years of land development experience, ideally with residential subdivision projects

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, and project scheduling tools

  • Strong leadership skills with a collaborative, team-first mindset

  • Experience writing technical reports, proposals, and contract documents

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize competing deadlines

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both in writing and face-to-face

  • Willingness to travel overnight as needed

  • Ability to lead and mentor junior team members effectively

What’s in It for You
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • 401(k) with company match

  • Employee stock purchase plan

  • Flexible spending accounts

  • Life insurance coverage

  • Generous PTO, sick time, personal days, and paid holidays
