Qualifications

• Experience working with private engineering firms for review and approval of design plans.
• Knowledge of NCDOT programming, planning, scheduling, and funding procedures.
• Experience making recommendations and decisions for simple or complex projects.
• Experience planning, developing, scheduling, tracking, and completing projects independently or with limited supervision.
• Experience assimilating large amounts of data to properly plan, prioritize, track, and monitor progress on various projects and programs within the NCDOT.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project development efforts with the Department, engineering firms and support staff.
• Track all aspects of each assigned project from conception to completion including feasibility, planning, design, right-of-way, environmental issues, budget and project letting to ensure timely delivery and development of projects and programs.
• Provide status reports on projects and funding sources to the Division Project Development Engineer and the Division Engineer on a regular basis.
• Serve as liaison between private engineering firms and the Division staff.
• Maintain valid driver's license and travel as required for the role.
