Job summary

HukariAscendent is seeking a Project Engineer 3 to supervise engineering activity on a Los Alamos National Laboratory project. You will direct multi-disciplinary teams and take technical responsibility from design development through construction, turnover, and closeout.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of project engineering experience with a strong commercial background in infrastructure or structural projects, and DOE Q clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of project engineering experience with a strong commercial project background in infrastructure, civil works, or structural projects.
• DOE Q clearance preferred; must be able to obtain a Q clearance.
• Must be able to work 100% on-site and visit active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Supervise engineering activity on the project across all disciplines and direct assignments.
• Serve as primary technical liaison between project management, design teams, and construction management; manage full engineering lifecycle from design development to turnover and closeout.
• Coordinate interfaces across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and security designs; manage RFIs, submittals, and nonconformance dispositions.
• Conduct constructability reviews and evaluate design outputs and construction activities for code compliance and quality.
• Identify and resolve technical, schedule, and interface risks; mentor junior engineers.
