Job summary

Pavion Corp is seeking a Project Engineer II to join our shared services team. You will independently develop engineering documentation, review design accuracy, and support changes and value engineering for complex fire, security, and AV projects.

You will coordinate with design teams, project managers, and field staff to ensure timely, accurate deliverables and successful project execution. Responsibilities include field collaboration, vendor coordination, and effective communication to resolve

Qualifications

• High school diploma; 3+ years in engineering or coordination.
• Proficient in CAD and design tools; strong low‑voltage systems knowledge.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications; excellent communication and organization.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop and produce complete engineering documentation packages, including drawings, submittals, and equipment schedules that meet project specs and standards.
• Review and verify design accuracy and completeness to uphold quality, safety, and performance.
• Assist with change orders and value engineering by analyzing design alternatives with stakeholders to develop cost‑effective solutions.
• Coordinate with design teams to integrate revisions and maintain up‑to‑date documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform technical reviews and quality checks to minimize errors and support smooth project execution.
• Serve as the primary engineering point of contact for assigned projects, enabling clear communication with clients, contractors and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with project managers, field supervisors, and other engineers to align deliverables with timelines and site conditions.
• Organize and participate in project meetings, documenting actions and ensuring follow‑ups.
• Communicate design changes and updates effectively to minimize delays.
• Track milestones and proactively identify risks or conflicts with mitigation strategies.
• Provide technical guidance to field teams during installation and commissioning, ensuring quick resolution of issues.
• Respond promptly to on‑site questions, diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions.
• Identify engineering solutions to optimize system performance and reliability.
• Coordinate with managers and contractors to convey requirements and resolve installation discrepancies.
• Document field issues and resolutions for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with vendors to obtain specifications and ensure documentation accuracy for design and submittals.
• Validate vendor information against project requirements and standards.
• Coordinate product selection and substitutions to support value engineering and procurement needs.
• Maintain effective communication with external stakeholders regarding lead times and integration challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
