Job description

Join to apply for the PROJECT ENGINEER II (DRAINAGE ENGINEER) role at Corporate Environmental Risk Management.

**Responsibilities include:**

  • Developing drainage solutions, mentoring entry-level staff, and building client relationships in Tampa and Orlando.
  • Conducting hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, designing cross drains, stormwater management facilities, and floodplain compensation.
  • Designing and inspecting erosion and sediment control practices.
  • Preparing technical documents such as hydrology/drainage reports, pond siting reports, bridge hydraulics reports, and permitting documents.
  • Creating construction plans compliant with FDOT standards.
  • Serving as Drainage Engineer of Record.
  • Performing field reviews, site visits, and project research.
  • Assisting in preparing LOIs, ELOIs, and proposals.
  • Managing the permitting process with agencies like South Florida Water Management District.
  • Communicating review comments to agencies.
  • Maintaining project files per company guidelines.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

**Required Skills:**

  • Knowledge of hydrology and hydraulic modeling concepts and practices.
  • Understanding of civil engineering principles for site and roadway design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, OpenRoads, and similar FDOT software.
  • Experience in preparing engineering reports.
  • Skill in using StormWise hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software.

**Minimum Requirements:**

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited university.
  • 10+ years of experience in land development design, FDOT drainage design, or permitting.

**Preferred:**

  • Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

**Licenses/Certifications:**

  • PE license in the relevant state is a plus.
