The North Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking an Engineer II (NS) to support the delivery of Division-managed and Locally Administered Projects. The role involves reviewing scopes, planning, ROW and construction plans, budgets, and coordinating with internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities include maintaining project documentation, updating SAP and SharePoint, and assisting with utility relocations and contract proposals. A valid driver’s license is required for travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an appropriately accredited institution is required.
• Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsabilités

• Provide engineering support to manage division projects and Locally Administered Projects.
• Review preliminary scopes, planning documents, ROW and construction plans and estimates.
• Coordinate reviews with units, track milestones and budgets, assemble reports.
• Update SAP, monitor project websites, and provide SharePoint/ATLAS support.
• Assist with utility relocations, ROW issues, PET Tool quantities, final plan checklists, and contract proposals.
• Communicate with public officials, consultants, and NCDOT personnel; coordinate with Contract Office.
• Review invoices and prepare evaluations and project documents as required.
