NC Department of Transportation is seeking an Engineer II in Division 13 Project Development to support delivery of Division and Locally Administered Projects. You will review scopes, routes, plans, estimates, and coordinate with multiple units to ensure timely delivery and accurate reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 3 years of relevant experience, and a valid driver’s license for occasional travel. PE registration may be required.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field of engineering and three (3) years of progressively responsible experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have valid driver’s license due to travel requirements.
• May require registration as a professional engineer by the NC Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors.

Mansioni

• Provide engineering support to manage delivery of Division and Locally Administered Projects.
• Review preliminary scopes, planning documents, ROW and construction plans and estimates.
• Coordinate reviews with units, track milestones and budgets, assemble reports and update SAP.
• Assist with coordinating utility relocations and Right of Way issues.
• Communicate with officials, consultants, and the public; review invoices and prepare PEF evaluations.
