We currently have an opportunity for a Project Engineer in New York. This role involves providing technical and project control support on heavy civil and transportation construction projects, working closely with the Project Manager to ensure project success.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and crews on project deliverables.
  • Manage material deliveries, ensuring proper inspection and compliance.
  • Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Assist in developing and updating project schedules.
  • Coordinate shop drawings and submittals.
  • Maintain records of submittals, approvals, and correspondence.
  • Contribute to cost control and analysis.
  • Participate in monthly revenue and cost forecasting.
  • Prepare monthly pay estimates and handle change orders and RFIs.
  • Follow OHLA USA policies, including safety protocols.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of field experience in Heavy Civil Construction.
  • Safety-oriented, OSHA 10- and 30-hour certifications preferred.
  • Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to access all points of a construction site in various environments.
  • Rail/transit experience is highly preferred.
