Job summary

JE Dunn Construction Company is seeking a Project Engineer 1 for Texas and Oklahoma locations, including Austin, Houston, Dallas and surrounding areas. This entry-level role focuses on supporting construction and field execution using company standards and tools.

You will contribute to general construction management, punch lists, self-perform work, and documentation while learning how the project lifecycle is executed. Travel and non-traditional hours may be required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• Entry-level construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with safety and quality plans and culture.
• Participate in QA/QC planning to ensure quality for tasks.
• Assist with estimating and change management processes and subcontractor proposals.
• Support on-site tasks: monitor crew size, hours, materials, quantities and equipment.
• Prepare project reports and required documentation for meetings.
