Harkins Builders, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer in Raleigh, NC to support the project team on-site and grow toward an assistant project manager path.

You will assist in preconstruction, contract follow-up, and site-set-up activities under guidance from the project manager and assistant project manager. You will read plans, specs, and shop drawings, coordinate with owners, design teams, subcontractors, and field staff, and help maintain schedules and cost reporting while upholding safety and

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management or related field.
• Three years of field construction experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction terminology and contracts.
• Ability to read, interpret, and modify plans and specs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preconstruction, contract follow-up, and site set-up.
• Lead and manage on-site personnel and coordinate activities.
• Read and interpret plans, specs, and shop drawings per contract.
• Coordinate with owner, design team, subs, and vendors.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and cost reporting.
• Ensure safety, quality, and proper documentation on site.
