Job summary

JE Dunn’s Advanced Facilities Group seeks a Project Engineer 1 to support construction and field execution on large projects. You will assist with general project management, punch lists, self-perform work and documentation to align with JE Dunn processes and values.

You will collaborate with foremen, journeymen and subcontractors, participate in safety and QA/QC activities, and help track progress, schedules and materials on industrial, data center and semiconductor builds.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with Lean processes and construction technology.
• Understanding of means and methods of construction management.
• Ability to organize, document and report project progress.

Responsibilities

• Learns and participates in safety and quality plans and culture on site.
• Participates in QA/QC planning to ensure task quality.
• Supports estimating and change management processes and subcontractor proposals.
• Works on site with project team to monitor crew size, hours, materials and equipment.
• Prepares and participates in punch lists, inspections and safety reviews.
• Posts drawings and specifications with latest information.
• Organizes project meetings and disseminates documentation.
• Prepares daily/weekly reports and progress metrics to support scheduling.
• Performs site observations and contributes to lean practice integration.
• Creates procurement logs and tracks shop drawings and deliveries.
• Supports closeout tasks including manuals and as-built drawings.
