Job summary

Gulfstream Savannah is seeking a Project Engineer I to plan and conduct key engineering segments for major aircraft programs, guiding milestones toward certification and entry into service.

In a supervisory capacity, you will coordinate a cross-functional team of engineering staff, interface with program management, vendors, and customers, and ensure work meets FAA/military requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a related curriculum required.
• 10 years engineering experience with a Bachelor's; advanced degrees credited (Masters 2 years, PhD 4 years) where applicable.
• 2 years project management experience and supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Fully responsible for planning and conducting important segments of engineering projects with extensive and diversified engineering requirements.
• Establishes project work scope, task descriptions, budget estimates and manpower requirements including master scheduling.
• Determines practicality of the overall project regarding function, manpower, equipment, materials, resources, cost, and producibility.
• Anticipates problems with assigned projects and takes action to prevent occurrence.
• Assigns tasks to functional personnel and provides necessary project supervision to meet schedules and requirements.
• Keeps management informed of project accomplishments, major problem areas, and budget/schedule status.
• Provides project management between engineering sections and related activities including program management, other departments, vendors, consultants, and customers.
