Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Project Engineer at either Level 3 or Level 4 to be based in Promontory, UT. The role involves defining and executing all technical aspects of Development, Qualification, and Production of a Hypersonic rocket motor.

Responsibilities include coordinating cross-functional teams, interfacing with customers, and developing master schedules and test plans. Occasional travel and strong focus on program execution are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (STEM) with 5 years of experience OR Master’s with 3 years OR PhD with 1 year.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• Ability to perform solid modeling using NX and interface with DoD security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate across IPTs on design, process, and quality of the product.
• Develop program execution plans and work with the Program Office.
• Interface with customer regularly as the technical POC.
• Develop master schedules, work breakdown, and assist in cost estimates.
• Lead milestones reviews to Senior Leadership and Customers.
• Travel 5–10% as needed.
