Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive in Morristown, TN, seeks a Project Engineer to lead high-speed manufacturing capital projects at our Oral Care facility. You will drive design, execution, and commissioning from concept to startup, partnering with cross-functional teams and external contractors.

You will oversee budgets, cost control, risk management, and ensure FDA/cGMP compliance while delivering safe, reliable production capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering is required.
• 4+ years of hands-on engineering experience in a high-speed cGMP manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of managing capital equipment installations, line upgrades, and factory modifications.
• Working knowledge of cGMP standards and validation protocols (DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ) and EOHS/OSHA safety regulations.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or related products.

Responsibilities

• Direct capital projects from initial scope definition through construction, startup, and handover.
• Own the Capital Expenditure Budget (CEB) process, administer contractor contracts, monitor expenditures and maintain cost control.
• Develop detailed project execution plans, sequence milestones, and resolve bottlenecks on the factory floor.
• Study product specs and performance targets to design solutions and specify high-speed machinery.
• Lead testing to confirm equipment reliability, product performance, and full FDA/cGMP compliance.
• Partner with Controls, Reliability, and Safety teams to integrate advanced utility systems and digital manufacturing tools.
• Manage RFP/RFQ bidding processes and supervise external contractors on-site to enforce safety standards.
• Champion EOHS/OSHA rules across all project sites and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Track and report real-time project metrics, spending trends, and risk plans to leadership.
