Job summary

Calqulate Metrics Ltd in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a Project Engineer for heavy civil highway and bridge projects across Florida. You will own engineering and project controls, support PM and Superintendent, and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.

Ideal candidate has 5–8 years in civil construction, a BS in Civil Engineering with Construction Engineering & Management emphasis, and proficiency in Primavera P6, Excel and HeavyJob. Relocation to the Tampa Bay area is welcome.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of civil construction experience.
• Proficient in Primavera P6, Excel and Word.
• FDOT project experience is a plus.
• Based in Tampa Bay area or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts and specifications in full.
• Support Project Manager and Superintendent on daily needs.
• Prepare and update the project schedule in Primavera P6.
• Track quantities, costs and forecasting.
• Get pricing from subcontractors and vendors, including change orders.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and crews to resolve field conflicts.
• Support monthly billing, cash flow projections and change order processing.
• Run document control for submittals, contract documents and record drawings.
• Review HeavyJob daily reports for accuracy.
• Keep NPDES permits, the SWPPP, inspections, survey staking and joint measurements with the owner on track.
