Job summary

You will manage RFIs and submittals, support the Superintendent, track quantities and costs, review plans for constructability, and ensure FDOT standards are met on site.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project or field engineering in heavy-civil/highway construction.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read civil construction plans and specifications.
• Experience with RFIs, submittals, and field coordination.

Responsibilities

• Manage RFIs and submittals — facilitate information flow between designers, the owner, and subs.
• Support the Superintendent in field activities like material tracking and scheduling.
• Help track quantities, pay estimates, and project costs.
• Review plans and specs to catch conflicts and constructability issues early.
• Keep documentation and daily reports aligned to FDOT standards.
• Support scheduling, look‑ahead planning, and change‑order documentation.
