Job summary

engineeringjobs.net, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for heavy civil FDOT roadway and bridge work in Naples, FL. You will lead technical and commercial aspects, including RFIs, submittals, schedules, and cost control, with growth toward Project Manager.

The role requires 5+ years in heavy civil projects, FDOT experience, and a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree. Florida PE license is a plus; relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project engineering on heavy civil, highway or bridge work.
• FDOT project experience strongly preferred.
• B.S. in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Proficient with RFIs, submittals, change orders, quantities and cost tracking.
• Experience with Primavera P6 and Excel; Florida PE is a plus.
• HCSS HeavyJob and OSHA 30 are advantageous.
• Based in Southwest Florida or willing to relocate to Naples area.

Responsibilities

• Run RFIs, submittals and coordinate with owner, EOR and field team.
• Build and update project schedule in Primavera P6.
• Track quantities, costs and monthly forecasts.
• Manage subcontractors, their contracts and change orders.
• Review plans, specs and shop drawings for FDOT conformance.
• Support monthly pay estimates, billing and cash flow.
• Coordinate survey, QC and QA inspections.
• Lead project meetings with foremen and subcontractors.
• Ensure safety program compliance (NPDES, SWPPP).
