Qualifications

• 2+ years of project or field engineering in heavy-civil / heavy-highway construction.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field — or equivalent field experience.
• Ability to read civil construction plans and specifications.
• Experience with RFIs, submittals, and field coordination.

Responsibilities

• Manage RFIs and submittals, coordinating information between designers, the owner, and subcontractors.
• Support the Superintendent in the field on material tracking, subcontractor scheduling, and daily sequencing.
• Help track quantities, pay estimates, and project costs.
• Review plans and specs to catch conflicts and constructability issues early.
• Keep documentation, daily reports, and records aligned to FDOT standards.
• Support scheduling, look-ahead planning, and change-order documentation.
