Job summary

Big-D Construction is seeking a Project Engineer for the Des Moines Temple project. The role supports the Project Manager and Superintendent with submittals, RFIs, change orders, and procurement tracking, while ensuring proper documentation and schedule alignment.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field and 2+ years of experience on commercial construction projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 2+ years of related experience on commercial construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review submittals.
• Write and track RFIs and assist in change orders.
• Prepare and maintain meeting agendas and minutes.
• Maintain construction drawings and provide marketing assistance as required.
• Assist Project Manager and Superintendent with subcontract and schedule administration.
• Keep construction drawings and as-builts up-to-date.
• Prepare and manage procurement tracking logs to align with the project schedule.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or related degree
