Job summary

Great Place Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to join our on-site management team in Iowa City, IA. You will facilitate, analyze and manage field coordination to ensure a successful project delivery and maintain quality control while assisting with permits and project close-out.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in construction or engineering with at least 1 year of related experience and strong communication and detail orientation. Proficiency in MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction or engineering or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Develop/implement pre-construction quality control plan.
• Assist in obtaining/maintaining construction permits.
• Administer daily project tracking and reporting.
• Manage and distribute project information and contract documents.
• Facilitate project close out.
• Participate in project processes: RFIs, submittals, as-builts, schedules.
