Job summary

Great Place Construction, a private construction firm, is hiring a Project Engineer to support on-site management in Sioux Falls. You will facilitate field coordination, manage contract documents, and help drive project success from planning through close-out.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in construction or engineering (or working toward one) and at least 1 year of related experience, with strong communication and attention to detail. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or working toward a bachelor’s in construction or engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience required.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Develop/implement pre-construction quality control plan.
• Assist in obtaining/maintaining construction permits.
• Administer daily project tracking and reporting.
• Manage and distribute project information and contract documents.
• Facilitate project close out.
• Participate in expanding knowledge of construction means and methods (RFIs, submittals, as-builts, schedules).
• Willingness to do whatever it takes to deliver a successful outcome.
