Job summary

Great Place Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to join our on-site management team in Sioux Falls, SD. You will facilitate, analyze and manage field coordination across busy construction projects, ensuring quality control and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in construction or engineering (or working toward) and at least one year of related experience, with strong communication and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or pursuing one in construction or engineering.
• Minimum 1 year of related construction experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement pre-construction quality control plan.
• Assist in obtaining and maintaining construction permits.
• Administer daily project tracking and reporting.
• Manage and distribute project information and contract documents.
• Facilitate project closeout.
• Participate in RFIs, submittals, as-builts, schedules and related processes.
• Support the team to deliver successful outcomes.
• Communicate clearly with on-site and office teams.

We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our team to facilitate, analyze and manage field coordination as part of the on-site management team. DUTIES:

• Develop/implement pre-construction quality control plan.
• Assist in obtaining/maintaining construction permits.
• Administer daily project tracking and reporting.
• Manage and distribute project information and contract documents.
• Facilitate project close out.
• Actively participating in expanding your knowledge of construction means and methods by participating in project processes; rfi's, submittals, as-builts, schedules, etc.
• Be an active participant in elevating yourself and the team around you.
• Willingness to do whatever it takes to deliver a successful outcome.
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of construction means, methods and practices.
• Bachelor's degree or working toward a bachelor's degree in construction or engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of tools
• Valid DL and good driving record
