Formación

• BS degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering
• 5–10 years of Geotechnical Design Experience
• South Carolina Professional Engineer License
• Knowledge of SCDOT GDM and AASHTO LRFD
• Understanding of gINT, BoreDM, LPile, APile, MSEW, Settle, Slide, GRLWEAP
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Working knowledge of Microstation

Responsabilidades

• Aid in development of geotechnical proposals and subsurface exploration programs
• Supervision of subsurface exploration programs
• Preparation of Geotechnical Subsurface Data Reports, Bridge Geotechnical Reports, Roadway Geotechnical Reports, and Seismic Analysis Reports
• Develop geotechnical analyses and calculations using approved software
• Review of post-bid construction plans and submittals
• Prepare foundation recommendations for structures
• Innovative design concepts to enhance project efficiency

As a Geotechnical Project Engineer at RK&K you will have the opportunity to work across disciplines to prepare plans and reports related to a variety of geotechnical projects for variety of clients in the transportation and municipal sectors; you will supervise field investigations and develop and review design computations; and prepare of geotechnical recommendations, contract plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates.

Essential Functions

• Aid in the development of the geotechnical portion of proposals and subsurface exploration programs,
• Supervision of subsurface exploration programs,
• Preparation of Geotechnical Subsurface Data Reports, Bridge Geotechnical Engineering Reports, Roadway Geotechnical Engineering Reports, and Seismic Response Analysis Reports,
• Develop geotechnical analyses and calculations using approved software,
• Review of Post-bid construction plans and submittals,
• Prepare foundations recommendations for other structures (as required),
• Innovative design concepts related to Geotechnical Engineering to enhance project efficiency.

Required Skills and Experience

• BS degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering
• 5 to 10 years of Geotechnical Design Experience
• South Carolina Professional Engineer License
• Knowledge of SCDOT Geotechnical Design Manual (GDM) and AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specification
• Understanding of the following: gINT, BoreDM, LPile, APile, MSEW, Settle, Slide, and GRLWEAP
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Working knowledge of Microstation
• Passion for client service and engineering

Preferred Skills and Experience

• MS or advanced degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering
• SCDOT experience
