AHU Technologies Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer | Field Engineer to support construction project delivery from planning through completion.

This dual-role collaborates with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers on office and field tasks. You will coordinate drawings, specs, submittals, schedules, site visits, and field issues while ensuring quality, safety, and alignment with budgets and timelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; practical experience may be considered.
  • Experience in Project Engineering, Field Engineering, Construction, or related role.
  • Strong ability to read construction drawings, plans, specs, and technical documents.
  • On-site work in Rochester, MN required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate drawings, specifications, submittals, and project documentation.
  • Support planning, scheduling, coordination, and resource management.
  • Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with day-to-day project execution.
  • Conduct regular site visits and monitor field progress, workmanship, and schedule.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, field teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with resolving technical issues and coordinating field implementation.
  • Track RFIs, submittals, drawings, documentation, and other project deliverables.
  • Prepare project reports, progress updates, meeting documentation, and related records.
  • Support project budget tracking, cost management, and schedule coordination.
  • Assist with quality control and ensure work aligns with project specifications and standards.
  • Support jobsite safety initiatives and compliance with applicable requirements.Identify potential project risks, delays, and coordination issues and communicate them proactively.
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Support successful project completion while maintaining quality, safety, schedule, and client expectations.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Project Engineer | Field Engineer to support construction project delivery from planning through completion. This dual-role position will coordinate drawings, specifications, submittals, project documentation, scheduling, and field activities while working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers.

The role includes both office and field responsibilities, including site visits, monitoring construction progress, resolving technical issues, supporting quality and safety initiatives, and ensuring projects remain aligned with established budgets, schedules, and construction standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support project planning, scheduling, coordination, and resource management.
  • Review and coordinate construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and project documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
  • Experience in Project Engineering, Field Engineering, Construction, or a related role preferred.
  • Strong project planning, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with construction software, project management platforms, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to identify and help resolve technical and field-related issues.
  • Understanding of construction quality and safety requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, large-scale construction environment.
  • Must be able to work on-site in Rochester, MN.
