Job summary

Oliver / Hatcher Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to support construction projects across the Midwest. This field‑based role works closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent from mobilization through final close‑out.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Internship, co‑op, or construction jobsite experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Manager and Superintendent from mobilization through close‑out.
• Maintain drawings, RFIs, submittals, logs, meeting minutes, and field records.
• Prepare and route RFIs; review submittals for consistency with contract documents.
• Coordinate with subcontractors on labor, materials, access, and inspections.
• Support daily reports, look‑ahead schedules, and close‑out documentation.
