Job summary

Walbec Group, a leading construction materials and services provider, seeks a Project Engineer to assist Project Managers with day-to-day tasks including bidding, scheduling, contracts, and billing on commercial projects across the Midwest.

The role involves supporting safety software, take-offs, subcontractor coordination, and familiarization with mix designs, plants and aggregates to help deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication, consulting, conflict management, and interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with bidding, scheduling, contracts, billing and collection.
• Support safety software and applications (HCSS, scheduling, etc.).
• Prepare take-offs and bids for grading, paving, milling, and subcontractors.
• Assist with contracts, negotiations and scheduling of equipment use.
• Develop an understanding of mix designs, plants and aggregate sites.
