Job summary

Consolidated Resource, LLC in Cheyenne, WY is seeking a Project Engineer & Estimator to join our team. This role combines preconstruction estimating with field project support, developing cost estimates, bid packages, and project documentation to help deliver projects on time and within budget.

Ideal candidates have a civil/construction background, 2–5+ years of related experience, and proficiency with estimating tools and project software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Architecture, or related field; equivalent experience.
• 2–5+ years of progressive experience in construction estimating, project engineering, project controls, or a combination of both.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, and technical documents.
• Experience performing quantity takeoffs and preparing detailed construction cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and general conditions.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports, and addenda to identify scope, risks, and constructability issues.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids; develop bid packages and manage relationships.
• Develop conceptual, schematic, design-development, and hard-bid estimates as required.
• Prepare bid proposals with pricing summaries, clarifications, exclusions, and supporting docs.
• Maintain historical cost data, unit prices, labor productivity rates, and estimating databases.
